Paco Alcacer will miss the last game of the calendar year, the Clasico against Real Madrid, after he was ruled out for three weeks,
The forward picked up a muscle injury in the 4-0 win against Deportivo La Coruna, forced off in the first half.
Alcacer had earned his place in the side after making a huge impact off the bench at Villarreal last weekend, so he will have been disappointed to pick up the injury.
A statement from Barça confirmed: "Paco Alcácer will be out for some three weeks after picking up a muscular injury in his left leg in the first half of the game at Camp Nou in the league against Deportivo La Coruña."
Barça will hope to have him back for the first league game of the New Year, against Levante on Jan. 7.
