The Racing Santander midfielder is a hot prospect and has been in the goals

There’s always more and more competition for the stars of the future. Racing Santander’s Pablo Torre is one of them. At 18 and a fixture in the national team’s youth levels, he’s being followed by Barcelona and Real Madrid.

On Wednesday he spoke about his future in quotes published by Superdeporte.

“I am doing what I need to at the moment, I’m focused on Racing and on enjoying what I do.

“It could be my best moment, but I’m trying to help the team and for me the important thing is the promotion of the team. I don’t want to focus on goals or assists but I am content with them too.”

He struck twice and set up a goal against Real Union de Irun at the weekend.

In Racing, Torres is reminiscent of Sergio Canales who joined Madrid after succeeding there, but did not get continuity in the team and made his name at Real Betis instead.

Pablo Torre has a contract until June 2025, but Barcelona and Madrid are already jostling for him.
