Pablo Torre could join Barcelona sooner than expected
Various situations could lead the midfielder to come to the Catalans in June
The Spain U19s knockout in Benidorm might hasten Pablo Torre’s arrival at Barcelona. He was hoping to play this summer at the tournament but they are out.
Another factor is that Racing are flying and may avoid the play-offs and get promoted directly. They are nine points ahead of second place Deportivo de la Coruna.
May 22, Racing visit Athletic B, which is their last game of the season. They have another against Extremadura but they are excluded from the competition and all opponents are given a 2-0 win.
Racing do have a final against the winners of Group 2, on June 5, with a cup and ‘title’ at stake, but both teams are already promoted.
Barcelona are planning a tour of Australia when the season ends. They finish against Villarreal on May 22 and on the 18th will hopefully play in the Europa League final.
Pablo Torre will have some holiday but he might start pre-season with his new side so Xavi can have a look at him. They will go on tour in the USA towards the end of the month.
In any case, Torre has a contract with Racing until June 30th and Barcelona will have to speak to them if they want Torre before.
