Out-of-favour Aleix Vidal punished again by Luis Enrique

Out-of-favour Aleix Vidal punished again by Luis Enrique

The right-back is in Luis Enrique's bad books and will not play any part in the game against Atletico Madrid

Aleix Vidal's ordeal continues. Luis Enrique has left him out of the squad to face Atletico Madrid, with the player not called up on three consecutive occasions. The last time he featured was in the 2-1 defeat by Alaves, in which he played badly.

He commited a big error for the visitors' second goal at Camp Nou, and from then he has disappeared from the squads. Even with Sergi Roberto rested against Leganes, Lucho chose to play 3-4-3 instead of involving Vidal.

An ostracism that has affected the player, who is thinking of leaving, while Barcelona have set their sights on Hector Bellerin. Arsenal want the player to renew his contract but the Blaugrana believe they can stop him and convince the Catalan to return to Camp Nou, while they pay Arsenal 35 million euros.

Aleix's future is likely to be a loan move away in the winter transfer window. For now, the soap opera continues...
