The Frenchman is out for 10 weeks with a hamstring injury
Barcelona are looking for ways to minimize Ousmane Dembele's absence. The club said that he will start his recovery on Sunday and will undertake part of that process in Doha, Qatar.
He suffered a hamstring injury against Borussia Dortmund, which will keep him out for 10 weeks, until the end of Feb 2020. During this time he will alternate sessions in Qatar with others in Catalonia. Barcelona medics will always be present with him, controlling his sessions.
Umtiti already took that treatment last year, spending some time in Qatar to avoid surgery. Barcelona's medic Xavier Yanguas went with him to Qatar for those sessions.
