Ousmane Dembele returns to action for Barcelona 164 days later
The French forward came off the bench in the win against Dynamo Kyiv
Ousmane Dembele was back playing in a Barcelona shirt 164 days later. The France forward had now played since the final game of last season, on May 22, when he lined up against Eibar at Ipurua.
Dembele got injured in June playing for France in the European Champships. He was diagnosed with a knee injury and was ruled out for four months.
With that time now passed, he was in the Barça squad for Tuesday's game against Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League and came on in the second half, replacing Gavi.
Dembele's last appearance in the Champions League was on March 10, against Paris Saint-Germain.
With Dembele back, Barça recover a player who is key to their 4-3-3. He's a pure winger with pace and the ability to take players on. In recent weeks, Sergiño Dest has been playing wide right.
