Ousmane Dembele hits out in a statement: From today, it's over
The French forward was angry with all the talk about his future in the media
Barcelona defender Ousmane Dembele has spoken about his situation for the first time, turning to Instagram to deliver the message.
“There are negotiations. I let my agent take charge of them, that’s his territory. Mine is with the ball, simply playing football.”
Per Barcelona, Dembele should find a new club. His renovation seems almost impossible now and he was left out of the squad to face Athletic Bilbao. The player did not like all the talk around him.
“It’s been four years that I haven’t stopped reading things about me without stepping up to justify myself. But from now, that’s over.”
He said: “I will reply sincerely, without giving in to any kind of blackmail. I won’t allow anyone to make it look like I am not committed to the sporting project, nor attribute to me intentions I never had. I’ve always given everything and that will not change.”
