The forward will take part in the activation session on Wednesday to see how he feels

Unless there’s a last-minute twist, Ousmane Dembele will form part of the Barcelona squad to face Benfica in the Champions League game on Tuesday night. The forward is recovering from a hamstring issue and has improved in the last three days. On Monday he trained with his teammates. The coach says that Dembele can play “depending on how he feels”.

Siempre Positivo podcast learned, and SPORT has confirmed, that the idea is Dembele is part of the squad after training well on Tuesday, providing he feels good in the Wednesday morning activation session. He won’t be able to start but could be used in the second half if needed.

Ansu is injured, Abde, Ilias and Jutgla can’t play, while Aguero and Martin Braithwaite are also out.

Dembele has played just 25 minutes so far this season, an impressive cameo against Dynamo Kiev, but he was soon injured again.
