The Catalan club also need to inscribe the contract renewals signed by several players with LaLiga

Barcelona plan to announce this Thursday a deal that will allow them to register the players who are still waiting to be registered.

That is to say, the renewed Ronald Araujo, Marcos Alonso, Iñaki Peña and Sergi Roberto and the three new signings: Ilkay Gündogan, Oriol Romeu and Iñigo Martínez.

Also, Alejandro Balde, whose contract extension will be made official after the tour of the United States.

Barça had a problem with LaLiga over one of the levers (palancas) used last summer. Barça sold 24% of Barça Studios to Socios.com for €100 million and another 24% to Orpheus Media for the same amount.

The agreement with both companies consisted of a first payment of €10m and three further payments of €30m each. The first payment of €30m was to be made this July, but both entities managed to get a postponement until the end of the year, which caused LaLiga to block the €60m not paid and with it the players' registrations.

With the agreement to be announced this Thursday, according to LaLiga sources, the €60m will be unblocked and Barça will be able to register their players.

The agreement was approved at a board meeting held on Tuesday at the LA Intercontinental hotel in Los Angeles, which was also attended by some members of the board of directors who are not present on the tour of the United States by telematic means.
