The RFEF must present their initial 50-man list on the 25th September for the U17 World Cup

Ansu Fati needs to have his passport situation sorted before next Wednesday. The player, alongside his father, is working hard to ensure all the documentation is in place before this date as that's when the RFEF must present their initial 50-man list for the U17 World Cup.

FIFA insist that any player wanting to take part in next month's tournament in Brazil must present a copy of their valid passport. If it isn't finalised before the 25th September, it's near impossible for FIFA to allow Ansu to be added later on. As from those 50 players, 21 must be chosen to represent Spain.

As with major tournaments, the only way to add a new player to the squad is if another suffers a serious injury (up until 24 hours before the competition begins).

The RFEF believe everything will be sorted out before then and expect Ansu to join up with his teammates in October.
