Inter Milan can purchase him for 35m plus 3m in variables
Rafinha Alcantara will play on loan at Inter Milan until June 30, 2018, with Barcelona announcing the deal on Monday.
"Barcelona and Inter have reached a deal to loan Rafinha until June 30, 2018," wrote the Catalans in an official statement. "The Italian club have an option to buy worth 35 million euros plus three million in variables that they will have to confirm on before the end of this season."
The option to buy is not obligatory like Barcelona originally wanted. Inter will pay the player's salary. Rafinha appeared for the first time after nearly nine months out last week in the Copa del Rey.
