Official: Neymar to miss four weeks with groin injury
The Brazilian will not face Barca at Camp Nou and could miss the second leg too
Neymar will miss the Champions League last 16 first leg against Barcelona at Camp Nou next week. PSG have confirmed in a medical statement that he has a groin injury and will be out for four weeks. He suffered the blow against Caen in the French cup game this week.
Neymar took tests at the Neuilly-sur-Seine hospital to find the exact extent of the problem. He is also a doubt for the second leg on March 10, pending his recovery.
The player is very sad about his injury and published a long message on Instagram about it.
Neymar played 100% of Barcelona’s European knockouts but for PSG he has only managed 60%.
In 2017-18 he missed the return against Real Madrid. He missed the Manchester United game a year later and PSG were eliminated.
