Jean-Clair Todibo is a Barcelona player. The Catalans reached a deal with Toulouse for him to come six months earlier than planned to Camp Nou. He has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the Spanish champions.
The centre-back had been frozen out at his French side, made to train by himself and excluded from the squad. Barca didn't want him to effectively lose six months of his career. Toulouse’s president refused to negotiate at first, furious that Todibo is walking away for free, but eventually came around.
The deal has some economic benefit for the French side and frees up Todibo from a bad situation. The player and his people headed off to the Catalan capital on Thursday, to seal the deal. He will be presented on Friday.
