Official: Gündogan joins Barcelona from Manchester City as a free agent

Ilkay Gündogan has signed for FC Barcelona player. The Manchester City midfielder lands in the Catalan capital as the first signing of the summer. He signs his contract until 2025 with an option for another year and his clause is €400 million.

The German midfielder, who turns 33 on Oct. 24, arrives in Barcelona with a long career behind him and as a world-class talent. Like any child who loves the ball, he got his first kick in his native Gelsenkirchen, the land of talented midfielders such as himself and Mesut Özil.
