Official: Eric Garcia loaned to Girona from Barca

After Ansu Fati's departure to Brighton, another academy product, Eric Garcia, has followed the same path, moving to Girona on loan until the end of the season.

Amidst numerous rumors about his future, Eric has achieved what he wanted: a move to seek more playing time, and he'll do it at Montilivi, where Michel eagerly awaits him. This deal seems to have been completed concurrently with the agreement for Joao Cancelo, as Manchester City saw it as a positive move to strengthen Girona (one of the City Group's clubs) with a player like Eric.

Xavi Hernandez communicated to him that he counted on him despite stiff competition in his position, but the player himself pressed for a move to continue growing as a footballer away from Barcelona. With his departure, Eric becomes the ninth player to leave on loan from Barcelona (joining Álex Valle, Estanis Pedrola, Chadi Riad, Pablo Torre, Julián Araújo, Sergiño Dest, Clément Lenglet, Ansu Fati).
