The Brazilian fullback wasn't part of Valverde's plans and a move to Turkey will see him link up with former Real Madrid man Robinho

Despite barely featuring for Barcelona's first team, Douglas Pereira has accumulated eight titles. Douglas landed at the Camp Nou in the 2014/15 season but never managed to tie down a starting spot at the club. Luis Enrique, the coach who was in charge at the time, didn't use him very often and he was loaned out in the 2016/17 season.

Douglas' first destination was Sporting Gijon where he notched some decent numbers (3 goals in 21 appearances) and seemed to fit in. Last season he made the step up, also on loan, to Benfica. However Portugal presented a similar story to one he found at Barcelona: he wasn't needed. Douglas only made 10 appearances for Benfica who tried to cancel his loan deal in January.

Back at Barcelona this summer, Douglas knew he needed to look elsewhere for playing time. This will be his final move as a Barcelona player. Sivasspor will take up almost all of his wages and he'll play alongside fellow Brazilian Robinho.

In the last few days there's been speculation over whether Barça would release the player on a free transfer or not. However, as the club have confirmed, he'll spend his last year as a Barcelona player on loan.
