Official: Barça's Dembele to undergo surgery in Finland next Monday
The forward injured his knee in France's draw with Hungary at Euro 2020
Barcelona have announced that Ousmane Dembele will undergo surgery on his knee in Finland on Monday after getting injured at Euro 2020.
"Ousmane Dembele is to undergo surgery on June 28 in Turku, Finland," a statement confirmed on Wednesday.
"Doctor Lasse Lempainen will be performing the operation on the Frenchman’s dislocated biceps tendon in his right knee, under the watchful eye of the FC Barcelona medical services. A public statement will be issued following the procedure.
"The striker came off the bench to feature in France’s first two games at Euro 2020 but was forced to retire injured in the second of those games, against Hungary in Budapest."
Dembele is set to miss four months with the injury, making him unavailable until at least the end of October.
