Official: Barca announce signing of Sergino Dest
He penned a deal until 2025 and will wear the No 2 shirt
Barcelona have completed the signing of Ajax right back Sergino Dest for a fee of up to 26 million euros (21+5m).
At 19, he has been handed a five year deal with a 400 million euro release clause.
“Sergino Dest combines many excellent qualities needed in a full back: attacking when called for, solid defensively, unruffled in possession and creative with it,” said Barcelona.
“The defender has the ability to take players on and his pace is a virtue going forward and defending.”
He steps in to replace Nelson Semedo, sold to Wolverhampton Wanderers, and must do battle with Sergi Roberto for the right back spot.
Barcelona beat Bayern Munich to a deal for the Ajax man.
