Objective achieved for one full-back... and another is a Barça objective
Alves is back with Brazil, while the Catalans are looking at another full back
That Barcelona have to improve at full-back is no secret. For now they have put Dani Alves at right back. The Brazilian is a starter for Xavi and back with the Brazil national team, so that is under control.
Xavi does not believe in Dest and although Alves is 38, he is fitting in well. Meanwhile Jordi Alba has no competition at left back and it’s been that way too long.
The chosen target is Jose Luis Gaya, the Valencia full-back, whom Mateu Alemany knows well from his time at Los Che.
