The ex-president of the U.S spoke about the Barcelona star in Colombia

Barack Obama was in Colombia on Tuesday to speak at the EXMA Conference and he gave his opinion on the Argentina national team.

In his speech, he used Argentine and Liionel Messi to explain that even those that are the very best in their field can't do everything on their own.

"Even people that we consider geniuses work with other people in order to develop their style," Obama said at the Conference in Bogota.

"In Argentina, even though Messi is wonderful, they have problems winning the World Cup. My advice to young people is that we have to recognise very few people achieve great things on their own."

During his years as president and since leaving the White House in 2017, Obama has always expressed his admiration for the Barcelona man. He's said his kids are fans of thhe five-time World Player of the Year.

Obama's comments come as Messi arrives in Buenos Aires to begin preparations for the Copa America, which kicks off in Brazil next month.
