FC Barcelona's first team and reserve team played a training match on Thursday at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Xavi Hernandez's side, which included players who have not been called up by their national teams for the current break as well as some youth players, beat Barça Atlètic thanks to goals from Sergi Roberto and Nil Calderó, who cancelled out Diego Percan's goal (2-1).

Iñaki Peña, Héctor Fort, Mbacke, Iñigo Martínez, Marcos Alonso, Oriol Romeu, Guille Fernández, Noah Darvich, Marc Guiu and Juan Hernández were the players who lined up in the first team. SPORT learned Darvich and Guille impressed. They moved very well, have shown personality and have generated satisfaction in Xavi's coaching staff.

Mbacke has also played with the first team, although in his case it was because, as he still cannot make his debut, Barça decided to alter as little as possible Rafa Márquez's squad. Pau Cubarsí, on the other hand, was part of the reserve team because he will be important for this Sunday's game against Teruel at the Estadi Johan Cruyff (4.15pm).

This was Barça's last training session before a few days of rest. The Barça first team ended week that was quiet due to the national team break. Barca will return to action next Monday, with their sights set on Athletic Club's visit to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys de Montjuïc, scheduled for Sunday 22 October at 9pm.
