Neymar's flick on the ear catches Pique by surprise in Bilbao
The two players were messing around as Barcelona got to their hotel in the Basque Country
Barcelona players Gerard Pique and Neymar were involved in a curious anecdote upon their arrival at the team’s hotel in Bilbao on Thursday morning, with the Copa del Rey game against Athletic Club to follow in the evening.
The two players provided an example of the good atmosphere that resides inside the Blaugrana dressing room and also of the friendship they share. It is Pique that usually accompanies the MSN trident on to the pitch when Barça train.
Neymar managed to record with his phone the moment he made Pique the subject of a joke, which initially provoked an angry look from the Catalan defender.
The Brazil forward got close to Pique and gave him a light flick on the ear. It caught the centre-back by surprise and he was annoyed, before looking behind to see what had happened: “Come on, Ney. Two times…!”
Usually the joke-maker, Pique was this time on the receiving end and did see the funny side as shortly after the two were laughing together as they went into their respective rooms.
