Neymar's father denies reports he is heading to Barcelona today
"Right now, that isn't happening. I'm in Brazil."
Negotiations between FC Barcelona, Neymar and PSG are advancing well. Last night there was a rumour in Brazil that Neymar's father, Neymar Silva, was on his way to Barcelona to meet with Andre Cury to speed up transfer talks.
However, in a conversation with FOX Sports, Neymar Silva denied this was the case. "Right now, that isn't happening. I'm in Brazil and I'm here representing my son. I'm not going to Europe, not to Paris or Barcelona."
Andre Cury, who is in charge of Barcelona's transfer team in South America, also denied the report. Although neither rejected the possibility Neymar would return to Barça.
The Brazilian is currently in the final stretch of his recovery from a serious ankle injury which forced him to miss the Copa America. He'll be in the stands when Argentina take on Brazil.
