Personal ambitions are not the motive I’m in football. I don’t play for ambitions, I play because it gives me pleasure. I like to help my team-mates and my team. If everything goes well, individual prizes will come later.”

Messi and I play on the wings and Suarez in the middle. Messi is a player I’ve admired since I arrived at Barcelona. Leo helped me when I arrived. I always admired his determination and poise.”

On the Russia World Cup he added: “Obviously I hope Brazil win. I don’t follow the Russian team closely but I wish their players luck, although not against my Brazil!”
