Neymar-PSG: All-out war as Brazilian tries to force Barça move

Neymar doesn't want to have any more meetings with PSG now that he's decided to leave

The Neymar saga is entering its final stretch. PSG now know, if they didn't before, that the situation isn't saveable and must make a decision on the Brazilian's future. Tension continues to rise after Neymar refused to greet the director of football, Leonardo, in China. This is because the former Barça forward has made up his mind about leaving this summer and doesn't want to have any more meetings or crisis talks. PSG have become tired of this stance and next week could see significant movements take place.

PSG had wanted to explore the possibility of Neymar changing his mind about a move away. Leonardo himself was convinced that he could find a solution which suited everyone, offering Neymar a chance to leave more easily in 12 months time but on the condition he completed another year at PSG first. The Brazilian isn't interested in any type of agreement which would prolong his stay in Paris.

Neymar is instead hoping that PSG will start up negotiations with Barça to discuss a deal. This is likely to speed up once Josep Maria Bartomeu presents his first official offer to the French club. They believe a part-exchange offer, involving players and cash, is the best option. PSG would naturally just prefer the money instead. If the situation continues to worsen, so too might PSG's strong stance.

The Brazilian star's representatives are already in Paris. Once the French Super Cup is over, the players will fly back home on Sunday. Neymar is confident an agreement can be reached but this is dependent on both clubs being willing to sit down and talk.

Perhaps the key to any potential move is Philippe Coutinho. Barça would love to include the underperforming midfielder in any swap deal as they know PSG were keen on him in the past. It's no secret that Coutinho is edging towards the exit door with PSG or the Premier League his most likely destinations. The Neymar saga is approaching its final chapter, but will it have a happy ending for Barça?
