The Qatari club aren't making it easy to poach their coach

Al-Sadd CEO Turki Al-Ali, said that the visit of Barcelona’s delegation to negotiate for Xavi Hernandez is “welcome” and “appreciated”.

Mateu Aleman and Rafa Yuste are there to negotiate Xavi’s exit from Qatar to take over from Ronald Koeman at Barca.

The Qatari side tweeted a quote from the CEO. “We welcome the visit of the administrative delegation from #Barcelona, and we appreciate and respect this,” said Al-Ali.

However, he added: “The club's position is clear from the beginning - we are committed to keeping our coach Xavi with us and we cannot have him leave at this sensitive time of the season.”

It shows Barcelona really will have to negotiate for Xavi’s exit, although the coach himself is positive he will arrive on the bench at Camp Nou.
