Neto: "I have a really good relationship with Ter Stegen"
The Brazilian keeper admits that ter Stegen is "helping me a lot" as he adapts to life at Barcelona
FC Barcelona's new goalkeeper Neto is enjoying his first few days with the squad and claims his rival for a starting spot, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, has been helping him settle in at the club.
"I have a really good relationship with Ter Stegen, very professional. He's helping me quite a lot," admitted Neto. "Although I've only been here a short time, I already feel I've adapted well. I enjoy being part of the group and getting back to work."
Neto played his first minutes for the club as a second half substitute against Chelsea. "It was a proud moment to play for Barcelona. Despite the result, I felt good. It was important."
"There's competition for the goalkeeping spot, just as there is across every position. It isn't exclusive to goalkeepers. I want to make my own story here and I'm focused on what I need to do."
