Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho are going head to head to try and sign Bayern Munich defender Joshua Kimmich, according to Kicker. They also say that two Spanish teams, including Barcelona are vying with Man City and Man United for the player.

United have made contact with the 22 year old player to try and sign him at the end of the season. It was City’s Guardiola who gave him a chance at Bayern Munich, and he has shown interest in the player again, with Carlo Ancelotti not using him as a regular starter.

Barcelona’s sporting director Robert Fernandez, has also followed him because he’s a player that would fit into the Blaugrana’s game. They are very interested in German players and the scouts have been many times to see Bundesliga games this season.

Kimmich took off at Bayern under Guardiola but has not had continuity in the team this season. He is often a substitute with Ancelotti preferring Philipp Lahm over him, in the versatile German’s final season.
