Miralem Pjanic leaves Barça training camp in Miami to return to Europe

FC Barcelona's Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic will temporarily leave the team's training camp in the United States and return to Nice to be with his wife Josepha for the birth of their second child. The Balkan international is in Miami with Barça in the tour of the United States, with Xavi and the team management deciding that he would travel with the squad. If the player does not find a new club to transfer to and if they can afford his high tab (about 8 million euros), the Barça coach is willing to give him a new opportunity as part of the first team squad, as a replacement for Sergio Busquets in the defensive ranks.

Pjanic has already got some game time in the friendly against Olot and was participating in the Blaugrana preseason with the rest when he received the pleasant news that his wife is going to give birth to the couple's second child. His first, Edin, was born in 2013. Pjanic has applied and received permission from Barça to return to Europe, although the team is set to play their first preparation match against Inter Miami in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Spain.

The Bosnian player plans to return and rejoin the North American tour soon after. Xavi Hernandez himself is finalizing the details of his travel to the United States, and will soon join the North American tour. He intends to arrive in time to take part in the opening match against Inter Miami.
