The Barcelona defender says a change was needed in the dugout at Camp Nou

Oscar Mingueza has left no one indifferent in an interview with TV3. Mingueza has criticised Ronald Koeman and admitted the players didn't believe in the Dutch coach in the final months of his time in charge.

"The team stopped believing in the idea and everyone tried to solve their own things," Mingueza said. "We weren't good individually or collectively. When the dynamic is not good, everyone does what they can, but we didn't believe in what we wanted, either. I am sure that things will change and get better."

In addition, he added that "the dressing room needed a change. There wasn't the atmosphere that we needed. People weren't happy. And when things are good and don't go well, you need a change."

On Koeman's replacement, he said: "Xavi will be very good for us. The idea that he has come in with is very good. He's got off to a good start with the dressing room. People believe in what he says and that's very important."
