Messi has 29 goals and the Argentine is hunting down Mo Salah

A draw tonight will give Barcelona the Liga title. Then they will have four games left of the season and many people will ask "and now what?"

Well,  there will be many reasons to enjoy the remaining games, among them a Clasico at the Nou Camp and a challenge for the best player in the world.

With 29 Liga goals to his name, Leo Messi has a European Golden Shoe within his reach, and especially now that the leading scorer in Europe's top five leagues, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, fired a blank yesterday against Stoke City.

Messi now has the opportunity to overtake the Egyptian.

Messi is two goals behind Salah. The Barça striker has 29 goals in the league this season, putting him on 58 points in the Golden Shoe rankings, while Mohamed Salah has celebrated 31 goals and has 62 points.

But 'D10S' has an advantage that could be decisive to him unseating Salah, and that's that he has more games to play.

Barça have five games left, beginning with tonight's game at Deportivo.

Next up is the Clasico at Camp Nou against Real Madrid, followed up by Villarreal at home, Levante away and the final game of the season against Real Sociedad at home.

Salah, meanwhile, has only two games left after failing to score against Stoke in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Anfield: away to Chelsea and at home to Brighton.

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile, however, is an outside contender on 56 points.
