Messi speaks about his future

Leo Messi says he's enjoying his football more than ever

He has become the leader of the Argentina and Barça teams

Leo Messi has spoken in an extensive and exclusive interview with television channel TyC Sports from Argentina's base in Russia. He spoke about next summer's World Cup as he prepares for this weekend's friendly against Russia in Moscow. Among other things, he was asked about his future, but left things open.

Messi, who said he would like to play for Newell's Old Boys one day, said that "I don't look to the future, I have no idea. Right now I'm not going to think about it. I enjoy what I do every day, playing every weekend... and my head's focused on that. When the time comes, I will see where I am standing or what I am going to do."

The Argentina captain's objective is to take Argentina to the World Cup title next summer, but he also has to sign his new contract with Barcelona, with the now infamous photpgraph with Josep Maria Bartomue yet to take place. It's a subject which did not come up in the interview with the Argentine media.
