The Barça captain has recovered from a calf problem and made the squad

Lionel Messi has been included in Ernesto Valverde's Barcelona squad for Tuesday's Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.

Messi came through training on Monday and has been named in the 22-man squad. He has not yet played this season due to a calf problem.

In contrast, Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele are still sidelined with injuries, although the latter has returned to light training.

Goalkeeper Neto, like Messi, is back again. The stopper has received the green light to return to action from a wrist injury and will travel to Germany with his teammates.

The full squad is: Marc-André Ter Stegen, Neto, Nelson Semedo, Gerard Piqué, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Jean Clair Todibo, Arthur Melo, Luis Suárez, Leo Messi, Clément Lenglet, Moussa Wague, Antoine Griezmann, Jordi Alba, Carles Aleñá, Sergi Roberto, Frenkie De Jong, Arturo Vidal, Junior Firpo, Iñaki Peña, Carles Pérez and Ansu Fati.

Barça will not train at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund. They trained in Barcelona in the morning instead before making their way to Germany.
