Leo Messi missed Barcelona training on Wednesday, which was taken by coach Quique Setien at the club's Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper.
The Argentine wasn't out on the grass with the rest of his teammates, instead, he did some work in the gym, following the plan drawn up by the club's fitness coaches.
Barça assure that Messi is in good shape and that his work in the gym responds to the blueprint which the club have drawn up ahead of a return to action on June 13 against Mallorca.
To make up the numbers, Setien called up two more players from Barça B: Jorge Cuenca and Kike Saverio. In addition to them, Iñaki Peña, Araujo, Monchu, Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati were also involved again.
The players have been given Thursday off and will return to training on Friday, with the trip to Mallorca now just over one week away.
