Messi makes history by winning fifth European Golden Shoe
The Argentine ends the season with 34 goals in La Liga
Lionel Messi added another trophy to his list of honours on Sunday: the fifth European Golden Shoe of his career.
The Barcelona forward ends the season on 34 goals, two more than his closest challenger, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah (32).
It's the fifth time Messi has won the award. He previously won it in: 2009-10 (68 points, 34 goals), 2011-12 (100 points, 50 goals), 2012-13 (92 points, 46 goals) y 2016-17 (74 points, 37 goals).
Barça congratulated Messi for the achievement on Twitter for reaching five Golden Shoes, more than any other player.
