Barcelona star Lionel Messi has reappeared in public after spending almost two months at home in lockdown, like the rest of his teammates.

Messi arrived at Barça's Ciudad Deportiva in Sant Joan Despí on Wednesday for coronavirus testing ahead of the Catalan club's return to training.

It was the first time the Argentine had been at the club's training base since March 13, the day when president Josep Maria Bartomeu and doctors explained the situation surrounding Covid-19 and sent the players home.

Since then, Messi has only been seen on social media, where he posted a statement about the players' decision to accept a 70 percent wage cut to help the club in difficult times.

Messi often arrives at training or matches with teammate Luis Suarez, but due to social distancing regulations, he arrived alone on Wednesday.
