Messi and Antonella check out the sales as Barça players enjoy day off

Lionel Messi went shopping on Monday after being given two days off following Barcelona's 5-0 win against Las Palmas, when he scored for the seventh consecutive game. 

The Argentine spent the morning browsing the sales at Corte Ingles on Avenida Diagonal -- which is not too far from Camp Nou -- with his partner, Antonella Roccuzzo. However, the couple were not joined by their two sons, Mateo and Thiago. 

Many people were surprised to see Messi out shopping in one of the city's biggest stores and were keen to get a photograph taken with the Barça star. 

Barça will return to training on Tuesday ahead of Thursday's Copa del Rey quarterfinal first leg game against Real Sociedad. It's been a while since the Blaugrana won at Anoeta, but Messi and and his team-mates will be looking to change that this week. 

Leo Messi is in a great moment of form and is the top scorer in La Liga, along with Luis Suarez, on 14 goals. He is currently in talks to renew his contract with the club and despite recent events is expected to extend his stay beyond 2018.
