The three messages for Leo Messi from each Barca presidential candidate
They spoke to a doll in a Messi shirt on a show on Friday on TV3
The three FC Barcelona presidential candidates were protagonists in TV3’s show ‘Mes que un president’ on Friday. Joan Laporta, Toni Freixa and Victor Font showed more of their personalities on the show but they also discussed some sporting aspects like Lionel Messi. Each of them, speaking to a mannequin with Messi’s No 10 shirt on, left the Argentina a message.
“Hello Leo, how are you?” said Laporta. “I will make you an offer you can’t refuse, good luck!” said Laporta, speaking in Spanish, not Catalan, the language Messi speaks.
Toni Freixa spoke partly to the Messi mannequin and partly to the camera.
“He’s the player I’ve most enjoyed in football,” said Freixa. “Whatever may happen, thank you Messi.”
Font was also grateful. “Leo, it seems that we can never be grateful enough for what you have given us. I’m convinced that the road ahead of us will be long.”
