Memphis Depay confirms: "I have decided to stay at Barcelona!"
The forward will remain at Camp Nou despite links with other clubs
Memphis Depay will stay at Barcelona. Despite all the rumours surrounding his future, the Dutch international has confirmed he will remain at Camp Nou.
"I have decided to stay at Barça!" he wrote on social media. "Fully committed to contribute to the club's sporting success. 💙❤️ #ViscaBarca."
Memphis, who joined Barça for free last summer from Lyon, was close to joining Juventus earlier in the transfer window but a deal fell through.
On Thursday, as the transfer window closed, he was also linked with a move to Chelsea, but nothing materialised.
He has now confirmed he will stay at Barça, where he has tough competition in the form of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele and Ferran Torres in attack.
However, Aubameyang's move to Chelsea does move him slightly up the pecking order.
