Memphis Depay agrees Atletico deal, waiting for Barca to seal move
The Dutch forward has said yes to the Colchoneros but now the clubs must agree on a deal
Memphis Depay is starting to decide his future and each day that passes he’s further from Camp Nou. Atletico and the player have reached a deal that would take him to 2025 with an optional extra season, and the Dutch forward is now waiting for the two clubs to reach a deal. Barca are waiting for a bid from Atletico because they won’t let him go for free.
Atletico weren’t sure if Memphis would accept their offer as he played hardball with Juventus last summer and ended up staying at Barca.
Barca know that Atletico took in 10m euros from Joao Felix’s loan so they want some kind of fee for Memphis - or a swap with Yannick Carrasco.
The Catalans aren’t ruling out that Memphis just ends up staying and leaving on a free at the end of his deal if there is no agreement.
