The Barça B came on in the Catalan Super Cup final

He played in midfielder, where he played for Arsenal

Marcus McGuane became the first Englishman to play for Barcelona's first team since Gary Lineker on Wednesday.

McGuane, 19, came on as a substitute in the second half of the Catalan Super Cup win against Espanyol in Lleida, with Barça winning after a penalty shootout.

The Barça B midfielder, signed from Arsenal in January, came on for the final 15 minutes, replacing Carles Aleña.

He has made four appearances for Gerard Lopez's Barça B team so far since signing from Arsenal, who he had played for since he was six.

After a goalless draw, Jasper Cillessen saved Jurado's spot kick as Barça clinched the trophy 4-2 in the shootout.
