The German great says the youngster will be better served at BVB for now

Youssoufa Moukoko is tipped to be one of the great players of the future. At just 18 years old, he has already shown at Borussia Dortmund that he can become one of the best forwards of the next decade. And for this reason, many clubs are already keen to sign him.

One of them being Barcelona because, in addition to his quality, his contract ends in June and he represents a magnificent market opportunity. However, Barça are also clear that they will not go into auctions with English clubs for the forward.

Moukoko has not yet renewed with BVB, who offered him a notable salary increase and, in Germany, they have already published that he has decided to change clubs at the end of the season.

In addition to Barça, PSG, Chelsea and Manchester United want him. But faced with this situation, one of the great German players of all time, Lothar Matthäus, has advised him against making the leap to another league so soon. He has done so in an article published on the Sky television network website.

“He should stay at Borussia Dortmund for at least another year or two and not immediately follow the call for money," Matthäus wrote.

"He has recently become a regular for (coach) Terzic. He is still very young, he has a great future and a fantastic career ahead of him.”

Matthäus points out that other young players like Moukoko wanted to leave too soon and saw their career cut short or fail to meet expectations.

Matthäus reminds Moukoko that he at the perfect club to continue developing as a footballer.

"Borussia Dortmund are one of the best clubs in Europe for young players," he added. "For that, I would be grateful if I was in his place, I would continue to give my all, score many more goals for BVB and then go on to the next adventure."
