Martínez on reborn Barça star: "Joao Felix is in another dimension"

Portugal coach Roberto Martínez has spoken about the footballing recovery that Joao Félix has shown in recent weeks.

Martínez revealed the two keys that he considers fundamental for the Portuguese player to be at his best at the moment: his time in the Premier League and his new role at Barcelona, coached by Xavi.

Martínez feels that Joao Félix is a very special footballer.

"There are very few players with his talent, with the ability to go inside and outside," he said. "He has the ability to go inside and outside, he has the ability to go one on one, he scores goals.... Joao Felix is in another dimension."

In direct allusion to the Portugal international's play at Barça, the ex-Belgium coach pointed out some fundamental details.

"What really matters is his role on the pitch and in the dressing room," he added. "You can see that Joao Felix feels important. Now you see him play and you can see he has a new liveliness."

Barça have already said they will try to negotiate with Atlético Madrid to try to sign the player at the end of the current season, once his current loan spell has expired.
