Martin Braithwaite insists he will have success at Barcelona
Braithwaite is not thinking about leaving the Catalan giants
Almost a year after arriving at Barcelona, Martin Braithwaite is still in the media’s focus. He cost 18.5 million euros and arrived after the transfer window shut from Leganes, in a surprise move. He has seven goals in 37 games for Barcelona.
Despite the fact he has been useful for the Catalans, his numbers are far from what you expect of a Barcelona No 9. Especially when you consider he has effectively replaced Luis Suarez.
However the Dane has no intention of leaving FC Barcelona. “There’s no option of leaving in the winter window or at the end of the season, next year I’ll keep fighting for my objectives,” Braithwaite told TV3 last month.
“I have a mountain of goals, I know that I will have success. I have confidence in myself and in my destiny, and I will keep working,” he said more recently to Canal Football Club.
The former Leganes forward also spoke about his arrival.
“Of course, I was excited. I saw that all my hard work was starting to bear fruits. I have confidence in myself, so it didn’t surprise me.”
