Martin Braithwaite wants 5 million euros to leave, mounts pressure on Barça

Martin Braithwaite is pressuring Barça to terminate his contract by paying him the salary for the two remaining years. According to 'Marca', Braithwaite's agents have demanded about 5 million euros to open his exit.

Barça want to pay only half that amount. The situation is tense and the Catalans have realised that the matter can only be resolved by paying.

Braithwaite was very upset when he was dropped from the United States tour. He has refused all offers since and even the letter of release.

For the Dane, there are only two options. Either he will stay in the squad and fight for minutes once Aubameyang and Memphis leave, or Barça will pay him in full for the two years left in his contract.

The club have tried in futility to reason with him and his entourage. The club believe that Braithwaite could have an attractive agreement with a Saudi club, on the condition that he goes for free.

There are only a few days left before the end of the market and it seems that the termination of his contract is the only way.
