Marquinhos: I would sign Neymar for Paris Saint-Germain
The Brazilian defender hopes to play with his compatriot at club level one day in the future
Marquinhos, a player who has been in Barcelona’s orbit previously, has said he would love Neymar to join him at Paris Saint-Germain.
“If I could choose one signing for PSG, it would be Neymar. He is my friend, but he’s also a footballer with enormous quality. Neymar can make the difference at any moment. He’s really important for our national team and he’s young. I’m sure he’ll evolve even more,” the Brazilian said to Goal.
PSG vetoed Marquinhos’ move to Barça in the summer as they consider him untransferable, despite the financial effort made by the Catalan club.
In contrast, the French champions tried to sign Neymar, as the player confirmed himself. They wanted to make a statement after losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the Barça star eventually ended up signing a new deal in Catalonia.
The next target for PSG could be Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.
