Marcus Rashford, an option for Barcelona
The Man United striker has not signed a new deal at Old Trafford and was previously a target
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford would like a move to Barcelona, who were interested in him in the past. There is an ‘overbooking’ at Old Trafford of attackers.
The English forward has a contract which ends in 2023, although the English club can extend it by a year if the player wants. However his chances of playing have reduced so he is thinking about a potential departure, EFE have learned.
Barcelona’s interest comes from three years ago, when they spoke to his people, but he decided to renew his deal with Man United. The situation is different now, after various conversations between club and player with no new offer on the table.
PSG have also been interested in Rashford and contacted his people. Barcelona are under reconstruction and believe Rashford can keep performing at the top level. He’s had some physical problems in recent months and Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani are stiff competition.
