Marcos Alonso leaves the doors open to a Barcelona move
The Chelsea defender has a deal that expires in 2024 and Barcelona are interested in left back options
One of Barcelona’s aims in the summer is to reinforce the left-back spot to give Jordi Alba some competition.
Marcos Alonso is one of the names who has been linked. Asked about it by OK Diario, the Chelsea defender said: “I have a contract and for now I’m at Chelsea. I am happy although I’d always love to return to Spain. That’s what I can say today.”
His link with Chelsea ends in June 2023, a year later than Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen, two players who are heading to Barcelona as free agents in the summer.
The main objective is Jose Luis Gaya at Valencia, while Alejandro Grimaldo and Sergio Reguilon have been linked.
