Barça and Valencia have many negotiations ongoing at the moment but the one Marcelino Garcia Toral is desperate to get over the line is that of Denis Suarez.
The 'Los Che' coach has wanted to bring Suarez in for a while now. When they were together at Villarreal, the midfielder produced some of the best football in his career. Despite his injury problems at Arsenal in the last six months of the season, Marcelino still believes he can get the best out of Denis. However, a move to Mestalla won't be easy.
Barça, despite not seeing Denis as part of their plans for next season, are asking for around €20m which is a figure Valencia simply can't pay. What Marcelino is counting on is the player's wish to move down to Valencia and the fee being made more 'acceptable' for the board. At the moment the two sides are wide of the mark when it comes to a compromise but it's early days and talks remain ongoing.
