Marca: Griezmann told Atletico teammates he's staying put
According to the Madrid-based paper he's been convinced to stay
The hope that French forward Antoine Griezmann will end up staying at Atletico this summer are growing in Madrid.
Newspaper Marca have announced that the player himself told his teammates he would stay at the club before he was jeered in the Sunday's match at the Wanda Metropolitano against Eibar.

The whistled affected Griezmann so much that he even got upset in the game and needed to be consoled by his teammates. It was Godin and Gabi that had to ask the supporters to applaud the front man. The reaction was immediate.
Marca say that his teammates and the coaching staff at Atletico convince him to turn down the offer to move to Barcelona. He has a contract with Atletico until 2022 and they will likely offer improved terms if he stays.
